Nargis Dutt Foundation is a registered, charitable organization working passionately in the areas of Health & Education, since 1981.
Over these 43 years, the impact of the foundation has been immeasurable touching the lives of millions of individuals through equipping 100’s of rural hospitals PAN INDIA with medical diagnostic equipment as well as mobile vans, supporting treatment of thousands of cancer patients annually, providing scholarships for meritorious and deserving students and holistic development of rural schools in India.
THE PROBLEM
In India, the number of cancer cases is rising. According to GLOBOCAN 2020, there will be 2.1 million new cancer cases in India by 2040, an increase of 57.5% from the year 2020 Moreover, one in nine Indians has a lifetime risk of developing cancer. Head and neck cancer, in particular, accounts for 30% of the all-cancer cases.
